Biography

CeBIL, the Centre for Advanced Studies in Bioscience Innovation Law at the University of Copenhagen, focuses on advancing health and life science innovations by addressing the legal challenges involved in translating research into sustainable products, effective therapies, and high-quality patient care. The center aims to ensure that these innovations reach consumers and markets safely, responsibly, and efficiently while remaining globally competitive. CeBIL fosters interdisciplinary collaboration among scholars from leading global research institutions and engages with industry, government, and civil society stakeholders. Its research is supported by numerous public and private funds, including significant grants from the EU Horizon, Danish Research Foundation, and the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. CeBIL received two major grants from the Novo Nordisk Foundation, totaling 85 million DKK, further strengthening its independent scientific research.
