We investigate the semen quality of Danish men - men who represent the general population and men who come to the clinic for fertility reasons.
Since 1996, the Department of Growth and Reproduction has investigated the semen quality of young men from the general Danish population.
We are also responsible for teaching standardized methods for semen analysis in labs around the world.
In 2012, an overview of semen quality in Denmark over the last 15 years was published in BMJ Open. Data point to a disturbingly low, but slightly improving semen quality.
