Biography
Lone Skov is a professor and senior physician in the Department of Dermatology and Allergy, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital, and a professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine at the University of Copenhagen.
She has long-standing research interests in chronic, inflammatory skin diseases where the immune system plays a key role, with a particular interest in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. She has experience conducting clinical studies, clinical trials, and basic science research. Her current research includes projects investigating co-morbidity in psoriasis, primarily cardiovascular disease and response to treatment, and clinical intervention studies in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. She is the former Chairman of the Danish Society of Dermato-venerology and a member of The International Psoriasis Council (IPC) and Skin Inflammation & Psoriasis International Network (SPIN).
