Biography

Enzymes that catalyse decomposition of plant materials have pivotal roles both in nature and in biotechnological processes. They are the focus of my research.

Current projects include:

HOPE – Harnessing the Oxidative Power of Enzymes is a strategic research project funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation with the aim to address the pressing challenge of studying some of Nature’s most powerful oxidative enzymes, known as lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases. This is a 5 year, 35 mDK grant from Novo Nordisk Fonden recieved in 2017. See the webpage for further details: HOPE Research Project.

Oxymist - Oxygen Constraints on Microbial Secretomes during Plant Cell Wall Turnover is a 6-year, 60 mDK Challenge grant from Novo Nordisk Fonden recieved in 2020. The project has started in the begining of 2021.
