Biography
Christian is a medical statistician and epidemiologist with Statens Serum Institut (SSI) in Denmark and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in the UK.
At the SSI Christian has been working mostly on COVID-19 epidemiology with a focus on population studies estimating the level and duration of COVID-19 vaccine protection, and protection after a first infection against reinfection with SARS-CoV-2. Recently he has studied the protection after vaccination and previous omicron infection against infection and hospitalisation with the BA.5 subvariant. Through his role with LSHTM, Christian is also involved with research into non-communicable diseases and HIV epidemiology in sub-Saharan Africa.
