Biography
We study the function of membrane-spanning proteins, in the form of receptors, in the context of kidney physiology and pathophysiology.
We focus on the functional characterization of endocytic receptors of the LDL receptor family, in particular megalin (LRP2), elucidating the significance of the receptor pathways in proteinuric kidney diseases and major associated comorbidities, namely hyperlipidemia and hypertension.
