Biografi

Dr Sara E. Stinson is a postdoctoral researcher at the Section for Precision Psychiatry, Oslo University Hospital. Her research explores the links between cardiometabolic disease, brain health and ageing, combining genetics, metabolomics and other omics data with large-scale population and health registry data.

She leads DIAGMENT, a Novo Nordisk Foundation-funded project that uses machine learning to predict age at onset of type 2 diabetes and risk of cardiovascular complications. The project integrates genetic, metabolic and clinical data from Nordic and international cohorts to support earlier prevention strategies.

Stinson completed her PhD at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen, where she studied proglucagon-derived hormones and biomarkers of cardiometabolic disease. Her current work investigates how metabolic dysfunction may contribute to dementia risk decades before symptoms emerge.
