CNG – Center for Nanostructured Graphene – is funded by the Danish National Research Foundation (Danmarks Grundforskningsfond),with a total budget of 100 mill. DKK for the ten-year period 2012 – 2022. The main partners in CNG are DTU Fotonik, DTU Physics, DTU Nanolab, Aalborg University and DTU Chemistry.
CNG focuses on basic research, but all its research projects have long-time perspectives which the aim at applications. CNG’s research profile has a broad range: it involves polymer chemists, materials scientists, nanofabrication specialists, experimental physicists, and condensed matter theorists, who use a wide palette of analytical and numerical techniques, including large scale simulations of nanodevices, ab initio electronic structure calculations, and theory of quantum transport.
