Biography
Dr. Timothy Patrick Jenkins is an Associate Professor in Digital Biotechnology and Head of Data Science at the Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He also serves as a Visiting Professor at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability.
His research focuses on applying machine learning and data science to biotechnology, with notable contributions to protein sequencing and snakebite antivenom development. Dr. Jenkins co-authored studies on the cost-effective manufacturing of recombinant snakebite antivenoms and the use of machine learning in analyzing venom-induced dermonecrosis.
He is a member of the Young Academy of Technology, Science, and Innovation (YATSI), where he serves on the council as part of the chairmanship
