Biography
Dr Nicolai Wewer Albrechtsen is a physician-scientist working at the intersection of endocrinology, clinical biochemistry, and proteomics. His research focuses on hormone-driven metabolic regulation—with particular emphasis on glucagon biology, amino-acid metabolism, MASLD, obesity, and type 2 diabetes—and on the translation of high-resolution mass-spectrometry–based proteomics into routine clinical diagnostics.
