Biography
Mohammad Hadi Mehdizavareh is a PhD student in the Data Engineering, Science and Systems group at Aalborg University’s Department of Computer Science. With a background in biomedical engineering, his research bridges machine learning, deep learning, and healthcare data, focusing on irregular time-series analysis to improve patient outcomes. He is currently developing a Multi-source Irregular Time-Series Transformer (MITST), a model designed to predict blood-glucose levels in intensive care patients and help prevent dangerous fluctuations. His work combines advanced algorithm design with a strong emphasis on clinical relevance, aiming to make AI tools interpretable and usable for healthcare professionals. Earlier in his career, he contributed to projects on pathology image search algorithms and machine-learning methods to enhance brain–computer interfaces. His overarching goal is to harness data science to solve complex challenges in medicine and biomedical engineering.
