Biography

I have a strong passion to investigate biological questions in an in vivo environment. My future work will focus on the CRISPR system to alter gene expression in vivo. We have just succeeded in cloning a Cas9 pig, which will be our model for in vivo analysis in combination with the established Cas9 mouse model. Guide RNAs will be designed and delivered by virus technology to the desired tissues and cells, to modify the target genes. My main focus will be on prostate cancer but also to continue my interest for innate immunology and metabolism.
