Lars Christian Gormsen is a professor, physician, and nuclear imaging specialist at Aarhus University. His research focuses on human metabolism, cardiovascular function, and how the body uses energy under different physiological conditions, including fasting and metabolic disease. He combines clinical studies with advanced imaging techniques, particularly PET, to track how organs such as the heart and skeletal muscle take up and utilise fuels like glucose and fatty acids in real time.
