Biography

Christian Jøns is Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen and senior consultant at the Heart Center, Rigshospitalet, specializing in internal medicine and cardiology. His research focuses on cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmias, implantable devices, and the optimization of catheter-based ablation procedures. He has led and contributed to nationwide registry studies and interventional trials, including work on hospitalization trends in congenital heart disease. With more than 130 scientific publications, his work spans atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, device therapy (ICD/CRT), and mapping technologies. Through his clinical and scientific efforts, he seeks to improve prevention and treatment of life-threatening rhythm disorders and translate new knowledge into better care for patients.
