Biography
Caroline Michaela Nervil Kistorp is a consultant endocrinologist and clinical researcher at Rigshospitalet and Professor MSO at the University of Copenhagen. Her work focuses on the hormonal and metabolic mechanisms that shape heart health, heart failure and obesity-related disease. Kistorp leads clinical studies that explore how hormones and cardiometabolic biomarkers can improve diagnosis, risk prediction and treatment for patients with complex endocrine and cardiovascular conditions. She has been a key contributor to uncovering how peptides and growth-hormone pathways influence metabolism and cardiac function, and her research bridges basic mechanisms with real-world patient care.
