Biography
Camilla Foged is Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, where she conducts research in vaccine design and drug delivery. Her work centres on how the physical and chemical properties of delivery particles shape where vaccines and therapeutics act in the body, and how stable, well-defined nanostructures can give researchers greater control over biological responses.
Foged is particularly known for her contributions to RNA vaccine delivery, including lipid- and polymer-based nanoparticles, and for promoting a design-driven approach in which the delivery system is engineered with the same precision as the active molecule itself. Her research bridges pharmaceutical technology, materials science and immunology, with the aim of improving safety, stability and predictability in next-generation vaccines and advanced therapies.
