Biography
Professor Angelica Ronald is a developmental psychologist and geneticist whose research explores how genes and environment shape child development, particularly during infancy and in autism, ADHD, and adolescent mental health. She is Professor of Psychology and Genetics at the University of Surrey. With a PhD from King’s College London and training in molecular genetics, she has published over 160 scientific papers and received awards such as the British Psychological Society’s Spearman Medal. Her work has revealed important genetic links between neurodevelopmental traits and influenced how conditions like autism are understood. She also co-founded the London Genetics Network and serves on editorial boards for major journals. Ronald is known for making complex science accessible and for mentoring the next generation of researchers.
