Biografi

Vibeke Tornhøj Christensen is a senior researcher at VIVE – the Danish Centre for Social Science Research. Her work focuses on social inequality, education, health and the role of social background in shaping life opportunities and outcomes.

Christensen conducts population-based studies using large-scale register data and survey material to understand how social and economic factors influence health, education and behaviour across the life course. Her research often examines how structural conditions, family background and access to resources affect participation in welfare systems and public institutions. By combining quantitative analysis with policy-relevant perspectives, her work contributes to a deeper understanding of social inequality and informs evidence-based public policy in areas such as education, health and social welfare.
