Biografi
Ulrik Stenz Justesen is Professor of Clinical Microbiology at the University of Southern Denmark and consultant at Odense University Hospital. His research focuses on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and the role of microorganisms in human health and disease.
Justesen works at the interface between clinical practice and research, using microbiological, molecular and genomic methods to understand how bacteria and viruses contribute to disease development and treatment outcomes. His studies often explore how microbial communities and their interactions influence conditions such as infections and cancer. He is particularly involved in translating laboratory findings into clinically relevant diagnostics and treatment strategies.
