Biografi
Tanmay Pati, Ph.D. is a medicinal chemist and researcher in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). His research expertise includes synthetic medicinal chemistry, lead optimization, and CNS-focused drug discovery. Dr. Pati has played a central role in the design and synthesis of novel GlyT2 inhibitor chemotypes for the treatment of neuropathic pain, contributing to the development of compounds with improved reversibility, CNS exposure, and drug-like properties. Within the GlyT2 program, he supports medicinal chemistry campaign execution, analogue synthesis, SAR development, and advancement of lead compounds toward preclinical evaluation.
