Biografi
Sebastian Porsdam Mann is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen's Center for Advanced Studies in Bioscience Innovation Law. With a background in philosophy, neuroscience, and applied ethics from the University of Cambridge, and international human rights law (DPhil pending) from the University of Oxford, he has extensive experience, including postdoctoral roles at Harvard Medical School and the Universities of Oxford and Copenhagen, supported by a Carlsberg Foundation grant. His research explores the application and regulation of emerging technologies like blockchain and generative AI, focusing on the human right to science. He recently co-authored "The Right to Science: Then and Now" (Cambridge University Press, 2021) and "Scientific Freedom: The Heart of the Right to Science" (Rowman & Littlefield, 2023). His influential work on personalizing large language models for academic use is highly recognized in the field of bioethics.
