Biografi
Marta Victoria is Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where she works on the design and modelling of sustainable energy systems. Her research focuses on how renewable energy sources such as wind and solar can be integrated into resilient, cost-effective energy infrastructures, and how carbon management can contribute to attain timely decarbonization.
Victoria develops computational models to analyse energy systems at different scales, from local grids to continental networks. Her work explores how storage, transmission and sector coupling can balance variable renewable generation and ensure system stability. She is particularly interested in identifying pathways to fully renewable energy systems and the trade-offs involved in their design.
By combining engineering, economics and data-driven modelling, her research supports evidence-based decision-making for the green transition and contributes to the development of future low-carbon energy systems.
