Lenka Tětková is a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Denmark’s Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. She studies how artificial intelligence represents and organizes knowledge, combining cognitive science and machine learning to make AI systems more interpretable and aligned with human reasoning.
Her work explores the geometry of latent spaces in deep networks and how these structures reflect human-relevant concepts, such as approximately convex decision regions. During her PhD, “From Grain to Insight: Explainability in AI for Biological Data Analysis,” she developed methods to interpret AI models trained on complex biological images and other real-world data.
Today, she focuses on concept-based explainability, probing techniques, and knowledge-graph-driven analysis to reveal how machines “think.” Her goal is to design AI systems that people can understand, trust, and collaborate with.
