Biografi

Kristin Kostick-Quenet is a bioethicist and medical anthropologist whose research focuses on ethical, social and cultural factors related to emerging bio- and neurotechnologies and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications in healthcare. Her recent publications address ethical issues related to integrating AI/ML into clinical decision making, closed-loop technologies in deep brain stimulation, direct-to-consumer neurotechnologies, and ethical considerations for returning results to research participants in psychiatric genetics research. She has also published on topics ranging from ethical issues in disorders of consciousness to practical considerations for implementing decision aids (particularly for Left Ventricular Assist Device therapy for heart failure) and other clinical interventions into real-world clinical contexts.
