Biografi
Kasper Hede Nielsen is a physicist at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, and affiliated with the Niels Bohr International Academy and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP). His research focuses on quantum optics and photonic quantum technologies, with particular emphasis on how light can be used to process and transmit quantum information.
Nielsen studies the interaction of single photons and quantum emitters, exploring how controlled light–matter interactions can enable scalable quantum communication and computation. His work combines experimental quantum physics with theoretical modelling to address fundamental challenges in building reliable photonic quantum systems. By investigating how quantum states of light can be generated, manipulated and stabilised, his research contributes to the development of next-generation quantum networks and optical quantum computing platforms.
