Biografi

Joerg R. Jinschek is a physicist and materials scientist with deep expertise in electron microscopy and nanomaterials. His research focuses on understanding materials at the atomic scale, especially how structure and chemistry influence performance in areas such as catalysis, energy storage, and quantum materials. Jinschek is internationally recognised for advancing in-situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques that allow researchers to observe materials as they respond to real-world conditions like heat, gas exposure, or electrical fields. Before joining DTU, he held senior research positions in Germany and the USA, including at Ohio State University and FEI Company. His work helps bridge fundamental science and industrial innovation by revealing how materials behave—one atom at a time.
