Prof. Dr. Ferdinand von Meyenn is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zurich. His research focuses on nutritional and metabolic epigenetics, aiming to understand how diet and metabolism affect the epigenetic regulation of genes and contribute to health and disease. He is engaged in several courses, including a laboratory course in molecular biology and one on personalised nutrition. Prof. von Meyenn leads the Epigenetics Group at ETH Zurich, where his team investigates the dynamic nature of epigenetic marks in relation to dietary patterns and metabolic processes. His work is critical in unraveling how lifestyle factors can modify genetic expression through epigenetic mechanisms, offering new insights into preventive health strategies.
