Biografi

Albert Schliesser is a physicist at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, where he investigates how light, sound, and matter interact at the quantum level. His research focuses on quantum optics, optomechanics, and quantum acoustics—fields that explore how vibrations and photons can be used to sense, communicate, and manipulate information in entirely new ways. By developing experimental systems that couple light and mechanical motion, Schliesser aims to push the limits of precision measurement and lay the groundwork for future quantum technologies, such as ultra-sensitive sensors and quantum networks. His work combines deep theoretical insight with advanced experimental techniques and has earned him international recognition. In 2025, he received the EliteForsk Prize for his pioneering contributions to quantum science.
